I mean, what kind of true control do any of us have within our reality? Regardless of what we do, there will still be bigotry against us. There is bigotry because we can't control how those who are ignorant were and are being raised. 

From their perspective, they have to realize at some point that they are losing the fight because they don't have real influence when more who share our struggle realize that they can't be controlled if they don't wish to be. We live in a society where, when one is struck down, ten more are likely to rise and bring Hell with them. Our numbers only continue to grow, and we are proving that we are still good people and the bigots can't stand it because of so much cognitive dissonance. 

On one hand, I feel bad for Chuck because his actions are fruitless when it comes to the larger picture, but on the other, I still think Chuck needs a moment of disillusionment. 

Maybe then he might admit to feelings... But Hell, it's Elementary school - boys think girls are icky and weird and have cooties. That and his mom.... 

Sorry for the rant!! Just really mentally and emotionally invested in the comic now. I love it thus far!!!
