"Fun to draw", indeed. I'm liking your style on the last couple of strips you've done, and the design of Sarah is particularly appealing in today's strip.

While we're on the subject, I was wondering, do you hand-draw your stuff and scan it, or do you use a graphics pad like a Wacom? I know artists dislike technical questions, but I ask because it would be helpful once I start my own strip.

I've commented on here before but I'd like to say I love this comic. It gives me inspiration and hope to be myself and someday be a happy girl like Sarah is.

The early black & white ones were ink on paper, and the color ones are Wacom and Manga Studio EX4.

I've noticed a certain symbolism in the dialogue balloons. Sarah's are always pink, tomboy Marta's are blue, and Irma (who's any gender she darn well wants to be) has a more neutral color. That's sort of what Walt Kelly used to do in "Pogo": there was a carnival-barker type character there, P.T. Bridgeport, who spoke in circus-poster lettering, and a deacon character who spoke in Old English script.

Panel three here is fantastic. The faces, the poses, and best of all that dialogue. Irma has a new-to-me and wholly wonderful way of reacting to that kind of news.
