To My Beloved Royalty...

It's a subject people feel strongly about.... I dearly wish more folk were able to respectfully disagree about their beliefs. I always remember having this sort of deep talk after the lights went out during my sleepovers. There's a lovely intimacy to it.

I've always preferred, "We're made of star-suff" personally.
("the cosmos is also within us. We're made of star-stuff.We are a way for the cosmos to know itself." ~Carl Sagan and "Not only are we In the Universe, but the Universe is in us-", Neil Degrasse Tyson) makes you feel special and insignificant at the same time, it comforted and inspired me as a child.

It's a small world in a big universe. We are ants on a universal scale. I like the philosophy that we just live in someone's dream or simulation. It explains why there is so much suffering for some people.

I like the idea that the universe is one big organism, and humanity is its consciousness. All connected, and fundamentally, in the most important ways, one and the same.

And, yeah, I wish people could have more polite discussions about their beliefs, it's always really fun and I always learn more about the world and other people.
