It makes all too much sense, I'm afraid. I'm feeling a similar terror right now, since my doc just cut my hormone dose in half.

I was greatly blessed in that area. My body decided early on that it would put all my hair on my head and almost nowhere else. (Which is why I was once tested for Kleinfelter's, since a low amount of body hair is a symptom.)  HRT only encouraged it, so I've a full head of non-thinning hair, and very little else. *whew!

Well, I'm part Native American myself, so my facial hair has always been sparse and (thank goodness) I never had any chest hair. But I still had it in places one wouldn't normally find it on a woman, like the backs of my hands, my knuckles and my arms. In truth, though, I'm more concerned about losing the hair on top of my head than gaining it anywhere else.

I had a sudden thought--I certainly hope Wendy does not believe that the male hormones will make Sarah's desire to be a girl go away. I've actually heard parents of transgender kids say this in at least one of the documentaries I've seen. Wendy is just desperate enough to believe it as well, but with any luck, Digby's talk will do some good.

I hope Wendy doesn't think that, either. For me, the arrival of male hormones only made me more confused, sad, depressed, angry, and suicidal. NOT a happy time.
