The Princess

To My Beloved Royalty...

It's not a terribly original gag, but I thought the context made it work. ;')

I just love the look on his face in that first panel. So serious about the two little hairs. (Doesn't matter whether your cis or trans, those first few chin-hairs are an AMAZING thing for a guy.)

Never been that enthusiastic about facial hair. Maybe being transfeminine has something to do with it.  Smile

Also, hooray Neko! A stranger who likes 3 of the same webcomics that I do!

I'm very thankful and blessed in the hair department. I've never had to shave more than three times a week plus my body hair has always been very light. (And nearly non-existent since I started HRT years ago.) And best of all, I've always had a head full of thick hair with no hair loss whatsoever. These days, my hair reaches down to the small of my back and is thick and smooth. *sigh* A wonderful thing!

I wasn't as bothered by facial hair as most MTF transpeople typically are, mainly because it meant I wasn't a kid anymore, and I so hated being a child that I welcomed any sign of maturity. Until, that is, I saw what puberty did to me--it made the delicate features I had as a child harsh and (to my mind) ugly, gave me acne which scarred my face, and made my nose huge. (My father's Native American DNA kicked in with a vengeance). Had I known more about how to suppress hormones at thirteen, I might have swiped as many of my mom's birth-control pills as I could get away with.

But on the subject of Mars--yeah, he's pretty much like any teen boy.  LOL

I had similar feelings Rachel - I wasn't entirely comfortable with the thought of having facial hair, but mostly I was glad to finally have this thing that I'd been teased for years for not having (I was a late bloomer).

It's so true Kamino Neko!
It doesn't matter one bit if someone is cis or trans, those first few hairs sprouting from the chin are enough to send *any* boy over the moon. =)

It makes me smile when I see trans boys just starting HRT, because it doesn't matter how old they are when they start, but once that facial hair starts coming in they are like just teenagers again! It's really heart-warming. <3

Heh, I'd be happy if I didn't have to shave and look good with my miserable 'beard'. :P
