I deeply understand your desire for more frequent strips.  But our beloved author works over time already and provides us TWO strips a week.  It really would be reasonable to have only one a week.

She's under a lot of pressure and we don't need to add more.

I agree with Miranda. I love this strip, and wait eagerly for each new update, but our lovely and talented artist isn't exactly getting rich on this. She has to work in order to survive and continue to be able to produce this strip.

I am really hoping that this may be available in book form to purchase at some point. Perhaps if we are able to help her expand her fan base to the point that selling books is able to support her, then she may be able to give us more frequent updates. Until that time, we are quite happy with twice a week.

Which reminds me: Did you ever get in contact with some of those other comic artists to get insights on how to make this your "actual gig"?

Me too, I would certainly buy a copy or two. I would be more than happy to donate as well (is there a way to do this that I am unaware of?).

But something tells me that a comic about a little trans girl isn't exactly going to be flying off the shelves anytime soon in this universe, as much as I would like it. But I hope I am wrong.

I just found out that this comic is still continuing!  I thought because drunkduck wouldn't load that it was gone, but I just spent a few hours catching up and it is definitely better than ever!  On the issue of funding, I would love for the option to set up a Patreon account or something similar, since I have enjoyed this comic for so long for free Smile

Druck Duck came back up just so you know. Though with a different url. 'theduckwebcomics.com'. Not sure why they did the change without redirecting from the old site.

Thanks, everyone! I'll certainly consider putting up a 'donate' button.

As for Drunkduck, I think I'm just going to redirect my readers from there over here. I can't have people depending on them when they've proven EPICALLY undependable.

I appreciate your kind works and the lively discussion!
