In all fairness, Chuck has gotten a lot of good hats out of this "being hunted" schtick.

Small reminder that there's Patreon for peeps who want to support the artist.

I keep the link there as my website tag here.(She needs the shameless self promotion more than I do).

This is probably karma for the bullying that he's done to Sarah. Hopefully he'll be nicer to her after this.

Dude, have you seen his stories? What he does to Sarah is him finally finding someone he can beat up, after everyone else beating him up.

He and Penny are tragic figures with a hellish home life. If there's "bad karma" for what he does to Sarah, it is his every waking moment at home.

Actually, I don't consider the abuse he and Penny receive at home to be karma, because he has crappy parents and nobody deserves that, but Sarah does not deserve the abuse he puts on her either. His tragic backstory doesn't mean he isn't accountable for his actions.

"Karma" is the idea that the universe punishes people for their crimes(and rewards them for their good deeds) without anyone's intentional intervention--justice that happens because it can.

You can't say "getting punished now is justice he deserves for his crimes" and then go on to say "the fact he's always being punished is unrelated to his crimes".

Getting beaten up by anyone sucks, and having Irm* beating him up isn't more or less "karma" than his parents and sibling beating him up.

The plain fact of the matter is that he's always getting beaten up, so it's pointless to try and claim he deserves it, but only from certain people.
