Eh that happens sometimes, never try to hard to stick to story telling 'rules'. This is sweet. Although I'm gonna go out n a limb and say in Irma's version they arrive via space-stork having escaped an exploding planet rather than IVF.

Sometimes telling rather than showing is necessary, especially in situations like this where a span of months has to be conveyed in a single panel.

YES: In film, this would be where I would insert a montage.... which is to say, "showing" in compressed for. I need to consider the comics equivalents. But, the wonderful and awful thing of deadlines is sometimes you misstep and have to present it anyhow. Not my favorite strip here, but a good problem to learn from.
