So, when was she revealed to be a VP at a bank? I don't remember this.

Waaaay back when, she threatened to mess with the school principal's mortgage approval if he didn't treat Sarah with respect and dignity. This was before she had even fully embraced Sarah's identity herself yet.

Yup, it also underscored her real issue with it. It's not that she wanted her child to be heteronormative at all costs, it was that she wanted her child to be treated with dignity and respect- and knows the world doesn't treat trans people right. It was a very tragic irony.

(Also- the verification's being weird. It tells me I've hit the wrong button the first time, even though I picked the one it said to, then accepts it the second time. Not sure what's going wrong.)

It wasn't this guy she was mad at, this is Sarah's teacher who is more understanding of the situation.
The one she was angry at before was Principal Victoria. And she didn't actually threaten, she simply said "Let's discuss your mortgage"

The gift trumps the money spent, IMO.

Of course, maybe he's completely honest too, and really does rob banks. Coffee places make a fortune for their potions!

Ah, not a pre-arranged date -- that explains why she needed to make the phone call.

Well, maybe he *does* rob banks to feed his coffee habit :P But on the other hand, that income would still be more deserved even if it's higher than hers

My partner is also a teacher , but on a master's degree program at a university of engineering sciences .

That is a little bit more on the pay check as to a base school .
( And sooooo much more than I can dream of as a social worker )
