Classic! I actually used this advice on a friend and it worked great! She looked at me with big eyes and screamed "WHAT?!?!", then whipped off her sweater, threw it on the floor and started stomping on it.

I love you Irmbloo bluh bluh!

....ok funny but just fyi (and @Peaches) dont ever actually mess with someone's phobia for reals. yeah hahahaha look at them freak out, so funny. now watch them never trust you again. ://

sorry to be like, raining on the parade, i wasnt gonna say anything till i saw that comment but like

tbh even if they dont have a phobia per se, just. dont scare people without their permission. its not cool. some people will shrug it off, and some people will not. some people (like me) will bear, if not a grudge, then a strong distrust of you, for a long time.

this has been a PSA

Well, I think it's more a matter of knowing your friend. Some friends like to mess with each other, others don't. I have one friend where we just throw the worst insults back and forth at each other and we know it means "I love you". But if someone else would say that, it would mean something else entirely.

That's an important point! Make sure you know your friends' boundaries (and if you're not 100% sure, ask!) and respect them. What's fun play between certain friends might be hurtful between others, and it's no good unless everyone is having a good time.
