I'm guessing that the story is being told to the interviewer who, in my opinion, could be the author of this comic! I'd certainly self-insert myself into my own comic if I wrote one. Then again, I could be horribly mistaken, .

Oh!  I remembered the "you ruined my life" reaction, but until I went back to page 715, I'd forgotten that we had the context of "the story I wrote about you".  I suppose it's the same reporter from page 405.
