Guest post by "Tyler" I don't think Irma is anymore worrisome than any other cartoon kid. I think it's just more apparent that she is a fighter and violent because our protagonist is so sweet and merciful. I'd compare her to Calvin, from Calvin and Hobbes, or even Lilo from Lilo and Stitch, who practiced voodoo on bullies as well. To me, the serious issues in this comic primarily pertain to gender, friendship, and acceptance. Irma's violent tendencies are more comic relief.
