Unfortunately, it wouldn't surprise me at all to find out Wendy actually thinks acceptance and support is the damaging approach, and if it went to court the judge would almost certainly side with her. I only hope it is just a psychological difficulty adapting to the new situation, and that she can see how that's hurting Sarah.
