They're all free, but use various clever concepts to monetize them. You should contact these authors for tips and advice--they have a LOT of ideas, and most *love* helping other people in the industry. While it's admirable to keep the princess going based as a labor of love, there's no reason you shouldn't be able to draw AND eat at the same time!
