But if the former is part of many people's experiences, should it them be presented exclusive of gender fluidity? I can't really make a genderfluid character, and say "this character is representative of all genderfluid people" any more than Sarah or Mars represent all transgender people. Irma's attention flits, because that's who she is. She's that way because I'm that way, and all my characters have bits of me within them. I'm confused about what wrong with this portrayal.... At any rate, I will consider these issues carefully.
