I caught that too, but at this point, it's hard to tell whether she's well-meaning but confused, completely intolerant of Sarah, or if there's something else going on. Since she's obviously raised a very progressive-minded son, however, I doubt she disapproves of Sarah--even our closest allies can struggle with names and pronouns at first.

This question is unrelated to what's going on in the strip, but I have no other way to ask you this, Christine--are you ever going to address the trans restroom controversy in the strip? I can imagine some kids in Sarah's school might take issue with her using the girls' restroom (Chuck's sister, for one) or a rather conservative faculty member might decide to make an issue of it.
