I don't see the comic, just the text.

I can confirm Ozaline's observation; no comic, just the TMBR. Windows 7U64, Firefox 15.0.1.

To be fair, that does actually place Sarah in a better light than 'she asked, I said no, and she did it anyway'.

Yeah, Wendy's reasoning was as exasperating as it was well-intentioned, but she did say 'no'.

I really do hope that Wendy will give custody rights to (er What's Sarah's Dad's name)? Living with her mom is putting Sarah in a Bad Place. Wendy is clearly not having an easy time at all accepting that she has a daughter not a son, and until she can completely come to terms with that she won't be a good guardian for Sarah. Visiting, rather than living together, would help them both ease into a new, better relationship, while Sarah can live with people who already accept her for who she is and supports her. Plus it would be an interesting side story, as she'd be moving away from her best friend.

Anyway, I've been really enjoying this comic, and can't wait to see where it goes from here!

What lawl said.  Unfortunately, it wouldn't surprise me at all to find out Wendy actually thinks acceptance and support is the damaging approach, and if it went to court the judge would almost certainly side with her.  I only hope it is just a psychological difficulty adapting to the new situation, and that she can see how that's hurting Sarah.

Again, even though she uses Sarah's birth name, it's nice to see her remembering the correct pronouns. Baby steps. And I think her protectiveness is justified, if not entirely helpful. <3
