Oh wow, it took me a minute to remember who she was. It's been a while!

Is that Mollys mum? She kinda looks like Molly.

Maybe Molly's older sister.

It's just the eyebrows, though, I'm not seeing any other indication of them being related. It'd be REALLY interesting if they were, though- it'd be fascinating to see how the older sister is a homo/transphobe and the younger is a social justice warrior who's specifically fascinated by trans-ness.

I chalk up any similarities between Suzy and Molly to drawing style. Christine has a certain way of drawing ears, eyes, and eyebrows that one sees on all her characters.

That's not to say, however, that there couldn't be some connection between the two of them. Given Christine's method of storytelling, that could well be the reason for the abrupt shift in focus from Irma, Chuck, Molly, and Sarah to these characters. (Which kind of made me do a Peanuts-like "AAAUGH!", by the way. I'm dying to know what happened!  LOL )

Of course, there's the possibility that Christine is setting up another flashback sequence, this time giving us Mars' long-awaited backstory.

The funny thing is, I designed Basanti to look like SARAH. Seriously. Look at Basanti's face and hair, then look at Sarah's.

I really have to work on making Basanti more memorable, though.....

And sorry about the AAAUGH moment! ;')

I thinks it is more than the eyebrow. There faces are similarly shaped if you ask me. And yes, it would explain a lot why Molly is the way she is.

I'm OK with the idea that Basanti, like many people in this country, might be unaware of or uncomfortable with the classical subjunctive (panel 4), but the misspelling of "definitely" (panel 2) just makes my eyes hurt.
