The Princess

To My Beloved Royalty...

Thank you folks. It's been a heck of a year. I lost my job, fell into a deep depression, and now muscle spasms in my leg are making walking excruiatingly painful.

But your concern moves me. Thank you, and forgive me for failing to respond to you all individually.

:( *offers hugs* That sucks, what happened? Or would you prefer not to go into detail?

Ha, I like Marta. :D

I'm so sorry to hear you've had troubles and I hope things get better for you. :( I don't think I've ever commented on the strip before but fwiw, Her Highness & company have brightened my own depression-riddled days many times, so thanks for that. <3

Check out: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_professional_webcomic_artists

This is a list of webcomics that actually support their artists. They're all free, but use various clever concepts to monetize them. You should contact these authors for tips and advice--they have a LOT of ideas, and most *love* helping other people in the industry.

While it's admirable to keep the princess going based as a labor of love, there's no reason you shouldn't be able to draw AND eat at the same time!

It's a muscle spasm. Probably comes from a variety of factors including overstretching the muscle and tension from anxiety. A muscle spasm doesn't sound too bad right? Well, apparently they can get pretty severe and very nasty and keep people off their feet for days. This is that kind. But, I'm on the mend.

I'll check that out. I have a terrible head for business, but maybe I can work on that. ;')

You've got an adorable comic with a very nice art style; wish you luck in getting something back for it. Was quite a gem to stumble upon. Smile

It's true, the comic is adorable and so is the art style. It really is a gem.

I cannot recall how I found it, but I am so glad that I did. I do remember when though. It was during the time in between being approved for HRT and actually starting it (I was waiting a week for some blood tests).

There were *so* many strips that had me tearing up, and sometimes just straight up crying. It really is a beautiful comic, thank you so so much for all of your hard work Christa!

Hope you feel better soon!

=)
